Permission to Erect New Lift/Escalator/Passenger conveyor or making addition/alteration to the existing Lift, escalator & passenger conveyor

Online application Procedure

KARNATAKA-SEVA-SINDHU

Eligibility: Any person or Company who intends to get the Lift/Escalator/Passenger Conveyors erected in the State of Karnataka

Supporting Document:

1. Applicant will log in to service of oficial website www.ksei.gov.in

2. Departmental webpage will open showing the details of service, details of scanned documents requires , service process.

3. Next enter the mobile number and apllicant will get the OTP which is to be entered. Once OTP is entered the application get opened.

4. Applicant need to fill all fields, upload all the requested scanned documents and make online payment of fees then save and submit

5. After successful submission of application , applicant will get the acknowledgement.

6. The concerned AEI will receive the application online and verifies the drawings and documents, notes his/her observations and generates the report and submits the same online to Additional Chief Electrical Inspector/Deputy Chief Electrical Inspector for review and approval

7. ACEI/DCEI reviews the report and the application submitted . If application found in order , the ACEI/DCEI approves the permission by generating the erction permission letter . If application is not in order , ACEI/DCEI will issue defect letter seeking additional documents by the applicant.

8. Erection permission / defect letterwill be sent to Applicant

Application Fee : Rs.25/-(Application Fee) + Rs.1000/-(per lift/escalator/passenger conveyor)

Service Charge (Free for Online Submission) : Rs.1000/-(per lift/escalator/passenger conveyor)

Delivery Time (Days) : 20 Days

Procedure for applying:

Erection:

1 – Applicant will log in to service of oficial website www.ksei.gov.in

2 – Departmental web page showing citizen preparedness, documents to be scanned, Fees to be paid, service delivery period and service process Fresh Wiremen Permit is shown

3 – Citizen fill all mandatory or non- mandatory fields, upload all the requsite scanned documents(inclusive of list of testing instruments), and make on line payment of Fees.

4 – After successive submission of application citizen will get an acknowledgement. With a SMS giving get Date, Time and Day to go a particular DEI Office to get Verification of original documents scanned and Instruments.

5 – After Verification of documents and instrument by the DEI, if all documents are in order the file will be forwarded to Head Office

6 – If any application is not in order DEI will hold file and a SMS alert will be sent to applicant to comply immediately

7 – If applicant comply the file will be forwarded to Head Office by the DEI,non complying file will be treated as pending with applicant

8 – On verification at Head Office the file will be submited to Board for clearence

9 – On approval of Board the Fresh Wiremen Permit will get printed and sent to citizen

10 – Once the license is granted, application for renewal shall be submitted three clear months before the expiry of the license but not before five clear months.

11 – Application may be accepted two clear months before the date of expiry of the license, provided the applicant remits the penal fee as detailed in Annexure-5.
