Online application Procedure

Eligibility: Electrical Installation in the jurisdiction of the state of Karnataka(Electrical Installation belonging to Government of India and its undertakings are excluded).

Supporting Document:

1) Form-B1(Electrical Contractor Work Completion and test report), Form-A1( Report of Commencement of work)

2) Manufacturer Test report of Equipments

Note:- Prescribed inspection fees shall be paid

Application Fee : NA

Service Charge (Free for Online Submission) : Will be Intimated in drawing approval letter depending upon the capacity of the installation

Delivery Time (Days) : 30 days-Head Office & 30 days Field Office Days

Procedure for applying:

1.Use the created User ID and password to login into the website.

2. After login, click on Approval of Electrical Installation button then select the option Application for installation approval as per the requirement.

3. Applicants shall upload all the required documents/ test reports by clicking browse and upload option.

4. The Applicant shall remit the requisite fee through Online Payment / Delivery Challan

5. Confirmation message will be displayed after successful submission of application.

6. To view application status click on Application Status link available in the home page.

7. Approving authority will start the process at their end as per the uploaded documents/test reports.

8. After verification of documents by the Approving authority, if it is in order date of inspection will be intimated. If any application is not in order any clarification/shortfall in the documents same will be intimated.

9. If applicant complies for clarification sought within 7 days same will be processed for inspection or application will be rejected with the reason for rejection within 30 working days from the date of receipt of clarification and inspection fees paid will be forfeited

10. Upon inspection, if the installation is found to be in general conformity with CEA(Measures Relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulation, 2010, approval will be issued. If not observations will be intimated.

11. If the applicant does not comply completely to the observations made during inspection within the stipulated 15 days, application will be rejected with the reason for rejection within 30 working days from the date of receipt of clarification and inspection fees paid will be forfeited

12. Once the installation approved by the authority the same can be viewed /downloaded on-line in My Application Status button available in the Consumer login
